They use an advanced design—enhanced with all-new aerodynamics and materials—to achieve cost-effective, best-in-class performance and fuel economy. Our variable geometry turbos for gasoline engines are developed for moderate power density, high-efficiency engines with displacements from 1L and above.

Gasoline Variable Geometry Turbo (VNT) Key Features

Variable geometry turbos use inlet vanes on the turbine to optimize the flow and efficiency characteristic of the turbine to deliver the best fuel economy and transient performance. Our variable geometry turbo for gasoline are particularly suited for Miller-cycle engines that have higher boost requirements and deliver 5-10% better fuel economy with low emissions.

  • Exhaust temperature capability up to 1020 deg C
  • Unique semi-floating bearing that is 30 percent smaller and reduces friction losses by 20 percent.  Also available with ball-bearing option.
  • Electric actuator for accurate control and faster response
  • Available with Variable-Inlet Compressor option.
