Toyota Recognizes Honeywell’s Productivity and Capacity Improvements

Toyota Motors Europe (TME) awarded Honeywell Turbo Technologies a “Supplier Achievement Award” in the cost reduction category to recognize the Thaon-les-Vosges (TLV) plant’s productivity and capacity improvements in 2011. The award was presented to Peter Hill, Vice President of Marketing and Product Management, by Hiroyuki Ochiai, Executive Vice President of TME, at the 2012 Annual Business Meeting in Brussels with more than 300 automotive suppliers in attendance. Honeywell was one of only six suppliers receiving this award.

The award recognizes Honeywell as one of the few suppliers that made a “special contribution” in productivity last year. Specifically, it recognizes TLV’s productivity and capacity improvements on the Toyota VNT final assembly line. These improvements were made during a Process Improvement workshop that Honeywell conducted in collaboration with representatives from Toyota’s Lean Manufacturing organization.
