GST Motorsports takes 1st overall at GTA

Texas Motor Speedway – Fort Worth, TX, 9/21/22 – The GST Motorsports Time Attack Racing Team secured first place overall and set a new overall track record with a time of 35.079
“The car felt much better upon initial shakedown since the team had a time to give her a once over. That said, I was able to get a good read on the new tunnels we experimented with on the floor of the car. They seem sensitive to ride height which is normal, but I think simple refinements will allow for a bigger window of operation.”.” commented Jeff Westphal, driver of the GST Time Attack Subaru L.
“I can’t wait for Buttonwillow, To me it provides great challenges and possibilities.” Continued Westphal.
Mike Warfield, owner and engine tuner at GST Motorsports, had this to say about the team’s event; “Although the track was pretty short we found that it was the ideal test for our chassis setup with a distant eye on the Buttonwillow finals, some of the in corner bumps really stood out as similar to that of the famed CW13 layout so the data we took from this weekend was fantastic. As always Jeff’s ability to take the car’s feedback and relay that to changes required never ceases to amaze me and we found speed with every change he requested!”
