Do I need to tune my engine after installing a PowerMax™ turbocharger?
Not necessarily.
Garrett PowerMax™ turbochargers are engineered as direct-fit upgrades and, for CARB-approved applications, can be installed and operated using the OEM calibration. This allows customers to maintain emissions compliance while benefiting from an upgraded turbocharger solution.
However, to fully utilize the increased airflow capability and maximize performance gains, an ECU calibration is recommended. A professional tune can optimize boost control, fuel delivery, and ignition timing to unlock the full potential of the PowerMax turbocharger.
Do I need to tune my engine after installing a PowerMax™ intercooler?
No.
