Garrett Motion is proud to welcome six talented interns to its Korea facility, marking the start of an exciting journey from academia to industry. These emerging professionals bring unique perspectives and a thirst for learning as they prepare to contribute to Garrett’s cutting-edge advancements in automotive technology.

This cohort includes students specializing in supply chain management, automotive technologies, and environmental safety. Through close collaboration with Garrett leaders, they will gain hands-on experience in solving real-world challenges.

The Internship Program exemplifies Garrett’s commitment to nurturing young talent, offering flexibility around studies, exposure to global operations, and opportunities to work on live projects. These experiences empower the interns to grow into tomorrow’s leaders in innovation.

“Garrett’s supportive environment makes it the perfect place to learn how to overcome challenges,” says Hyemin Cha, who is focused on developing her supply chain management and communication skills.

A thirst for knowledge

A thirst for knowledge and a determination to succeed are among the most prominent characteristics of each of these young women. Youngjoo Choi, for example, has a passion for automotive and quality control, and is focused on deepening her understanding of turbochargers, learning about the manufacturing process, and improving her skills.

Two other interns—Jeon Saeyeon, and Yoonha Kim—share Hyemin Cha’s passion for supply chain management and are eager to apply their academic knowledge to real-world scenarios. Meanwhile, Kim Sumin is delving into automotive technologies, drawn by Garrett’s reputation for innovation. Junhyeok Baek wants to understand how health and safety strategies, and environmental, social and governance processes, are developed and applied globally by Garrett to create value beyond compliance.

All are excited about the opportunity to learn from Garrett’s industry-leading experts.

Yoonha Kim: “I want to take my theoretical studies of logistics and industrial engineering and apply this knowledge practically within a Garrett team environment.”

Kim Sumin: “I am excited about the opportunity to solve real-world problems and participate in live projects. I see this opportunity as an important foundation for my future career.”

Jeon Saeyeon: “There is tremendous value in learning from people who are developing cutting-edge mobility solutions. I want to learn about the challenges they face, the rewarding aspects of their roles, and how different departments work together to achieve common goals.”
