Garrett Turbo Voted into Hot Rod Hall of Fame
(Las Vegas, NV) – It’s official! The votes have been counted and enthusiasts the world over have overwhelmingly cast their ballots to recognize Garrett Turbochargers’ place in history.
To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Hot Rod Magazine, the editors partnered with the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) to honor those products that had made significant contributions to the world of hot rodding. In 2007, ten charter members were inducted into the Hall of Fame. In 2008, SEMA members voted for the next five members of this exclusive group from a field of 72 products.
When the polls closed, five products remained:
Garrett Turbochargers
K&N Air Filters
Detroit Locker
MSD 6A Ignition
Nitrous Oxide Systems
We are very honored at the recognition for the time that our engineers have put forth to push the limits in Motorsport. Throughout the history of Garrett Turbochargers, race teams in such diverse series as Formula 1, Indy Car, World Rally, 24 Hours of Le Mans, Pikes Peak Hill Climb, drag racing and drifting have all relied on the proven quality of Garrett Turbochargers.
