Formula Drift was born in the United States in 2004. Currently, the Formula Drift Pro Championship series is the main series, and the Pro2 series has two categories. Drifting is a sport that requires a very high degree of control, controlling the car while turning the steering wheel, in the opposite direction of the curve. In the U.S., competitions also take place on oval courses and city courses.
The Formula Drift movement made its way to Japan in 2014. The first course was held at Fuji Speedway, at the foot of Mt. Fuji, a symbol of Japan. Ever since then, FD Japan has been a major event — attracting large crowds, powerful drivers, and fast cars. Each round of FD Japan consists of two days — the qualifying on Saturday and the final on Sunday. Witness the talented drivers for yourself or learn more at http://www.formulad.jp/.
