2013 WINTERNATIONALS
The 2013 Fuchs Winternationals will play host to Round 2 of Factory Xtreme at Queensland’s Willowbank Raceway on the weekend of June 7 to 10 and the team at Pac Performance are excited to announce we will be competing at the event in the Mazda6 SP.
The Fuchs Winternationals is the biggest annual drag racing event in the country, setting the stage for a smorgasbord of drag racing action with a global audience. Factory Xtreme, the home of high-tech turbocharged drag racing sees Mazda vs. Toyota vs. Nissan vs. Mitsubishi in a battle of drag racing technology and development and once again the team at Pac Performance will be flying the Mazda flag high.
This year Factory Xtreme will be running 2 qualifiers with the 1st round of racing being on the Saturday 8th with round 2, 3 and the final on Sunday 9th.
Team principle Rocky Rehayem is excited to be making the trip up for the event and is keen to heat things up for the piston boys, “We had a disappointing round one meet at Sydney Jamboree but we’re confident we will make up for it in this round and really push the envelope. The Winternationals is the biggest event on the drag racing calendar and we’re keen to strut our stuff in front of the mainstream drag fraternity and show them what we’re made of.”
This event will also see our highly anticipated re-run with Rod Harvey from the Nitro Champs where a component failure caused George to abort the run. “Rod was given a gift on that pass but we’re not going to let that happen this time. We’re competing to win this event and we’re not letting anything get in our way.”
With 476 racer entries confirmed and an expected 40,000 spectators the Fuchs Winternationals is set to be a screamer so be sure to mark the dates on you calendar and come and see us take on some of the quickest imports in the world!
