• New turbo line-up will incorporate latest technical innovations for engine boosting in landmark vehicles

ROLLE, Switzerland, Oct. 11, 2022 – Garrett Motion Inc. (Nasdaq: GTX, GTXAP), a leading differentiated technology provider, has launched an Aftermarket turbo range that delivers 21^st century engine boosting innovation to some of the world’s most famous, iconic cars.

The Garrett ‘Classic’ line-up will be available through the company’s EMEA Aftermarket distributor network and will provide owners of heritage vehicles with turbo systems upgraded with the latest technical advances.

For example, Garrett’s ‘Classic’ wastegate turbo for the 1989 Lancia Delta Turbo HF Integrale has been re-engineered to replace the original 270° thrust bearing with a 360^o thrust bearing, which will improve reliability, especially at full throttle.

The Integrale enjoys legendary status among heritage car owners, with its 2.0L, 16V, 197 BHP gasoline engine capable of reaching 62 mph in 5.7 seconds, and a maximum speed of 137 mph. This ‘Classic’ turbo will also fit engines developed for the Fiat Coupe, Lancia Thema and Alfa Romeo 155. Garrett is also scheduling product launches for the Renault R5, Ford Escort, and Ford Cosworth.

Garrett worked with distributors from its Aftermarket network to identify launch vehicles.

“The ‘Classic’ range will initially be available in Europe to meet demand from owners of these landmark vehicles in a region which was at the forefront of engine boosting technology adoption,” said Eric Fraysse.

Garrett’s complete Aftermarket turbo portfolio extends to around 8,000 models, covering all major passenger vehicle line-ups, with OE-grade replacement technology available for just about every boosted car. The ‘Classic’ line-up features retro-style packaging in keeping with the market offer.
