This summer, Garrett’s Shanghai location celebrated 25 years of operations! Happy birthday, Garrett Shanghai!
Founded in July 1994, The Shanghai site has become a key strategic footprint with state-of-the art turbocharger manufacturing capability and one of Garrett Motion 5 global R&D hubs delivering advanced turbo technology and pioneering connected vehicle and fuel cell solutions.
The localization strategy, so called “East for East (E4E)” strategy, a major business initiative developed locally a few years ago, has been successfully led by the Shanghai team and today allows us to be the best Chinese competitor with local OEs for light and commercial vehicles.
