Josh Klugger made history on January 20th 2018 as he became the first official 3-second eighth-mile time in Pro 275 competition at Orlando Speed World Dragway in Orlando, Florida.

Klugger, who earned the NMCA Radial Wars Championship in 2017 as well as an impressive win in Pro 275 at “No Mercy 8”, focused his sights on a new goal for 2018: to be the first Pro 275 race car to the 3s.

The 93 Mustang boasts a Pro Line Racing 481X power plant boosted by twin Garrett® GTX5533R Gen II 98mm turbochargers making upwards of 3,500 horsepower.

As track conditions improved, Klugger knew it was only a matter of time before the car cooperated.

On Saturday evening, it all came together for Klugger and he made history as the Garrett® turbocharged Mustang made the record-setting 3.975 second pass at 198.85 mph.
