Garrett Showcases Turbo Technologies at Brazil SAE
Garrett’s industry-leading turbo innovations were highlighted at SAE Brazil, the premier event in Latin American focusing on automotive technology.
Officially named the International Congress and Exhibition of Technology for Mobility, SAE Brazil provided a key opportunity for Garrett to communicate the advantages of turbocharging, while showcasing its industry-leading turbo technologies. Approximately 10,000 people, representing technical leaders for both OEMs and suppliers throughout Latin America, attended the event.
Garrett’s 35sq m stand was bristling with advanced technologies, including the turbos developed for the Volkswagen Polo, the world’s most fuel-efficient 5-passenger vehicle, and the BMW X6, the world’s first turbocharged hybrid vehicle.
“SAE Brazil was an excellent forum for emphasizing the value proposition of turbo technology, particularly for the small engines that are common in Brazil,” says Christian Streck, Application Engineering Manager. “It provided the perfect opportunity for us to demonstrate the ‘turbo advantage’ – great fuel economy with great performance.”
