NMRA True Street is a racing class for mildly modified to heavily modified high performance Ford-based street vehicles that are street certified and able to drive over a 30-mile distance. Vehicles must be registered, licensed, and insured. Mike Jovanis, long-time True Street Veteran racer battled head to head with 130+ cars at the NMRA Spring Break Shootout in Bradenton, FL and won the event. These high performance street cars must drive a 30 mile street route, then do 3 back to back 1/4 mile passes, and the car with the fastest, most consistent 3 passes wins. This means the car must have a a large fuel system, a proper cooling system, the driver and car have to make 3 consistent passes without going to the pits to make any changes.

Jovanis won the race class with a 7.89 second 1/4 mile 3 run average in a field of 130+ cars. Mike Jovanis also won the 16 car shootout with a 7.66 second 1/4 mile pass at 177 MPH.
