Honeywell Boosts 20 New Cars at Detroit Auto Show

At the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the US Turbo Revolution was on full display. More than 20 new vehicles were equipped with Honeywell turbochargers. Notable models included the Fiat 500L and Abarth, both of which deliver exciting performance and outstanding mileage in a 1.4L gasoline engine; the remolded Ford Mustang powered by a new 2.3L four-cylinder engine with muscle from a Honeywell TwinScroll gasoline turbo; the new Volkswagen 2.0L gasoline turbo engine for its trio of Beetle, Jetta and Passat vehicles; and the new 3.0L diesel in the Jeep Grand Cherokee and RAM 1500.

Across a wide range of vehicles, Honeywell turbochargers are helping new generations of downsized engines win over US consumers by delivering more power, torque, and fuel efficiency than ever before. Today, more than 60 vehicle models equipped with Honeywell turbochargers are available in the US. If the Detroit Auto Show is any indication, downsized turbos are fast becoming the norm for the U.S. market.
