Germany – Honeywell Showcases Green Technologies
Three Honeywell businesses joined forces this year at the IAA Motor Show in Frankfurt, Germany, to demonstrate how Honeywell is driving a greener future through technology and innovation. The bi-annual IAA Motor Show is one of the most important automotive industry events for passenger cars with approximately 900 exhibitors, 200 worldwide premieres and close to one million visitors this year.
Honeywell Turbo Technologies, Honeywell Friction Materials and Honeywell Specialty Materials businesses shared one large booth with a unified theme of environmentally-friendly innovation. The Turbo business highlighted its unique synergy with the Honeywell Aerospace business by displaying an aerospace 36-150 APU turbocharger and outlining how the Turbo and Aerospace businesses collaborate in five key areas: Aerodynamics, Rotordynamics, Materials, Lab & Testing, and Electrification. In addition, they displayed the latest turbo technologies for diesel and gasoline engines as well as TwoStage boosting architectures.
While Honeywell Specialty Materials took the opportunity to share its new Solstice™ 1234yf refrigerant for auto air conditioning, Honeywell Friction Materials promoted its environmentally-friendly Hybrid brake-pad range, brake pads for aluminum discs and unveiled a European premiere of a technologically-advanced copper-free friction material that complies with future legislation.
