Garrett by Honeywell Showcased Enhanced Product Range and Tools at Automechanika Frankfurt 2014

From 16th to 19th September at the Automechanika Frankfurt 2014 trade fair located in Frankfurt, Germany, Honeywell Turbo Technologies  showcased its enhanced product offering for the independent aftermarket. Automechanika Frankfurt is the world’s largest trade fair for the automotive aftermarket, hosting 4,600 exhibitors from 75 countries, and 2014 edition has received approximately 140,000 visitors.  Honeywell’s main objectives for the show were to highlight the increased scope of the Garrett aftermarket product line, promote the expansion of the Garrett Original Reman campaign, and showcase a redesigned Garrett Aftermarket website.

The Honeywell booth featured multiple turbocharger displays, interactive media stations, new technology videos,  cutting-edge lead capturing platforms, and a new turbo quiz that offered entrants the chance to win a GTX turbo of their choice.  Key Honeywell turbos at Frankfurt included products from its expanding commercial vehicle and gasoline application portfoli​o and nearly 50 Garrett Original Reman turbochargers covering the largest volume of applications on the road today in Europe for vehicles which are more than 7-years-old.

According to Olivier Rabiller, Honeywell Transportation Systems vice president and general manager, Business Development, High Growth Regions and Aftermarket, “Not only [is TS] bringing the same Honeywell technology desired for new car production available to the aftermarket, but we are addressing market demand for lower-cost options through additional remanufactured product availability without compromising on performance or reliability.”

In addition to its aftermarket product displays, Honeywell continues to emphasize the inherent benefits of its “Buy Genuine” educational campaign outlining the true value of original equipment quality and the safety of aftermarket turbochargers. The campaign urges garages, mechanics, and consumers to insist on high-quality original Honeywell turbocharger replacements, instead of copy or counterfeit turbos, which run the risk of poor performance, higher fuel consumption, and increased emissions.

Honeywell also demonstrated its updated Garrett Aftermarket web site at the show, with two access points located in the booth where visitors can access the new website in eight different languages. The website updates are based upon customer feedback requesting improved navigation and search, product news and images, visual installation guides and additional language support. These new features provide greater product information and better access to the Garrett portfolio.
