Milind Godbole Appointed VP and General Manager of North America for Honeywell Transportation Systems
DETRIOT – Jan 15, 2017 – Honeywell (NYSE: HON), announced that Milind Godbole has been named the new vice president and general manager of Honeywell Transportation Systems (TS) North America, and is also serving as a member of the Transportation Systems Leadership Team. This position is based out of Plymouth, Michigan and reports to Oliver Rabiller, TS CEO and president.
Godbole has a combined 17 years of experience in various roles with Honeywell, spending the past five years serving as the managing director of Honeywell TS in Pune, Maharashtra. Responsible for developing business strategies and driving growth acceleration across the company’s presence in India, Godbole has a proven track record within Honeywell that he will bring to North America.
“In this role, Milind will lead a strong and experienced team to develop TS further in North America; including maximizing market opportunities for the automotive software and electric product offerings,” said Rabiller. “Godbole’s well-rounded experience with both domestic and global exports are expected to enhance and propel TS in these aforementioned market opportunities.”
Honeywell TS is currently expanding its product portfolio as seen in the development of its latest VNT turbocharger for gasoline engines. This technology has already won awards representing its best-in-class performance for the industry in 2017. Godbole will oversee the expansion of TS business in North America including automotive software development, cybersecurity, and the electrification of hybrid powertrains and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.
Prior to working at Honeywell, Godbole spent 14 years in the building solutions industry in the Middle East and India. He holds an Engineering degree and Masters in Management from University of Pune.
