Honeywell Garrett Brings Industry Leading Range of Aftermarket Turbo Technology to Automechanika Frankfurt 2016
FRANKFURT, Sept. 13, 2016 — Honeywell (NYSE: HON) Transportation Systems and its Honeywell Garrett aftermarket brand are showcasing its broad portfolio of replacement turbochargers at Automechanika Frankfurt 2016. Honeywell is displaying some of its most advanced technology supporting diesel and gasoline passenger vehicles, the latest in two stage commercial vehicle applications, performance turbo upgrades and remanufactured turbochargers for those seeking a less expensive option without compromising on performance or reliability.

Honeywell Garrett independent aftermarket turbocharges are built to the original specifications of the factory-installed part they replace, and can have significantly better performance and emissions than non-original copies which run the risk of higher fuel consumption, and increased emissions.
Light Vehicle Displays
- VNT TwoStage Turbocharger (GT12 & GT20)
Designed for ultimate power density, this series configuration of two variable geometry turbochargers is designed for passenger diesel engines up to 200kW. As original equipment for a BMW 2.0L engine, this turbo helps provide enhanced performance across its operating range. It has low friction bearings on the high pressure stage helping improve throttle response as well as high temperature materials and an optimized design for improved efficiency.
- Third Generation Gasoline Turbocharger
With new technology in every sub-system, Honeywell Garrett’s newest gasoline platform has aerodynamic designs which are customizable to various engine and vehicle needs ranging from 40kW to 250kw. This new high-performance, full-function range has been designed for the stringent emissions requirements of Euro 6c, and future CO2 and fuel economy standards. Features enabling this level of performance include updated bearing and sealing systems as well as an advanced wastegate with an electric actuation system in a cost-effective package.
Commercial Vehicle Display
- Serial TwoStage Turbocharger (GT37 & GT47)
An innovative custom design for the MAN 15L heavy duty truck engine (MAN TGX D38 EUVI), this application is used with the 520hp, 560hp and 640hp variants. It has been designed for enhanced durability and reduced fuel consumption.
- GTX30 with Ball Bearing Technology (GTX30 76R)
This high-powered aftermarket performance turbo is designed for those seeking dependable power for extreme applications such as road racing, auto cross, drifting and rally racing. It has a horsepower rating of 360hp to 640hp with engine displacements ranging from 1.8L to 3.0L. It features a forged and fully machined compressor wheel, improved aerodynamics, dual ball bearing, an oil and water cooled CHRA, and a ported shroud compressor housing to increase surge resistance.
- REMAN VNT Turbo with Rotary Electric Actuation
Honeywell’s OEM application for Daimler and Fiat Chrysler 3.0L factory installations on the Mercedes Benz E-Class, M-Class, R-Class and the Jeep Grand Cherokee is available as a remanufactured turbo delivering exceptional value. Honeywell Garrett only uses brand new REA components and original specification replacement parts throughout, while also testing and calibrating every remanufactured turbo to meet original equipment specification.
