The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAETM), through its Health-Ready Component and Systems (HRCSTM), has developed a framework to help industry players to prepare implementation of Integrated Vehicle Health Management (IVHM), and operate a shift in diagnostics and prognostics capabilities.

Garrett Graphical Modelling Tool (GMT)
Garrett GMT allows the creation of fault models for a component or a system, ingesting and parsing existing service and warranty records, service procedures, vehicle design data, and more.
With GMT you can create and visualize links between faults and symptoms, tests and recommended repairs, validate and update your models in an intuitive way. GMT will guide the user step-by-step and run coherence checks.
GMT can be used to create service procedures and save effort and time to build, edit and update service procedures throughout the lifetime of vehicles. It can also be used for any vehicle, component or system.
Proven in aerospace and automotive applications, GMT makes it easy and scalable to meet SAETM IVHM Level 4 and above classification.

Garrett Health Indicators
As a Tier 1 turbocharger manufacturer, Garrett has developed a suite of turbo health indicators to measure how the turbo is performing throughout the lifetime of the vehicle, such as low cycle fatigue, actuator position, turbo speed sensors, crankcase pressure, and more.
When added to the troubleshooting process, these indicators give engineering and service technicians great insights on the health of the turbo and helps to faster pinpoint the root cause of an issue in the airpath system.
Garrett has vast domain knowledge and expertise to build similar indicators related to any component.
Using HRCSTM JA6268TM template accelerates the development of component or system health indicators.

Garrett Early Warning System (EWS) Platform
Fault Detection: Garrett EWS analyzes data from the vehicle telematics or other field data sources and identifies a problem in the vehicle behavior near-time. An anomaly can be detected due to a change in the behavior of a mechanical part or a change in fluid, e.g. fuel type.
Diagnostic: Garrett EWS platform stores the data history for easy visualization. Symptoms and DTC can be collected real time, enabling real time diagnostics. It eliminates the need to replicate the fault increasing first time fix and reduce time off the road.
Prognostics: With robust data quality and quantity, using Garrett expertise in physics based modelling and machine learning, EWS can run prediction before a critical fault arrives.
The platform is flexible to host prognostics algorithms from various sources (including SAE JA6268TM), leaving freedom for users to complement analytics with various sources of expertise.

Garrett Diagnostic Reasoner (DR) software dynamically analyzes vehicle issues, like fault codes (DTC), health indicators or/and customer complaints, then cross-references them with fault models to establish the best troubleshooting actions. DR also includes results from field operations to constantly improve learning over time.
Garrett DR is the one-stop-shop to manage repairs – It integrates with service procedures, wiring diagrams and part replacement procedures.
